A calmer pipeline board, with days in stage
The candidates board on a job now uses soft cards in soft columns, shows how long each person has been in their stage, and folds empty stages out of the way.
What changed
Each stage on a job’s candidates board is now a soft panel, and each candidate is a white card showing their name and how long they have been in that stage, such as “4 days”. A long name wraps onto a second line instead of being cut off.
Someone who has waited 15 days or more in a stage that is still in progress shows in red, so a stalled candidate stands out without reading anything. Hired and Rejected are never marked red.
Less clutter
A stage with no candidates folds into a narrow strip with its name written vertically, and stays that way while you drag, so nothing shifts under your cursor. You can still drop a card onto the strip; it lights up when you are over it. A job with nobody on it yet keeps every stage open. Every stage is cut off at the same height and scrolls on its own, and the space for the sideways scroll bar is always kept, so the board does not jump.
Resume preview, notes, reminders and the more actions menu sit in a quiet row at the bottom of each card, as before. The Candidates header is now one tidy row: title, an always-visible search box, the board and table switch, the expand button, and Add applicants last on the right. On a phone it shows just the title and a row that opens the full pipeline.
Smoother to pick up, and no job number
Picking a card up and dragging it now starts straight away instead of pausing for a moment first. The long job number that sat beside Edit job at the top of a job page is gone, so that corner is just the button.
How days in stage is counted
The count starts when the candidate moved into their current stage. Candidates who were already on a job before this change do not have that date yet, so until they move again their count starts from when their record last changed, or when they were added.
