Bulk enrichment is here: Enrich 10,000 profiles in one click

Your candidate database is only as useful as the data inside it. Incomplete profiles mean missed matches, bad outreach, and wasted time. Today we are launching bulk enrichment in RecruitIQ, letting you enrich up to 10,000 candidate profiles in a single operation. Select your candidates, click enrich, and come back to complete profiles with updated contact information, current job titles, skills, certifications, and more.

Data decay is one of the most underappreciated problems in staffing. Industry research estimates that 30% of professional contact data becomes outdated every year. People change jobs, phone numbers, and email addresses. They earn new certifications, learn new skills, and move to new cities. A candidate profile that was accurate 18 months ago may now have the wrong employer, the wrong phone number, and missing skills that would make them a perfect match for your hottest req.

Until now, keeping profiles current required manual effort that no recruiter has time for. Bulk enrichment automates the process entirely, turning your stale database into a current, accurate, matchable resource.

The Problem

Consider the lifecycle of a typical candidate record in a staffing agency's database. A recruiter sources a candidate in January 2025. They capture basic information: name, email, phone, current title, employer, and maybe a resume. The candidate does not get placed. Sixteen months later, in May 2026, a perfect req comes in. The recruiter searches the database and does not find this candidate because their title has changed, their previous employer is no longer listed on the req's keyword match, and the new skills they have acquired are not in their profile.

Even when candidates are found, outdated contact information creates a different problem. The recruiter calls a disconnected phone number, sends an email that bounces, and moves on to source a new candidate externally. The perfectly qualified person sitting in their own database never gets contacted because the data linking them has decayed.

The scale of the problem is staggering. A staffing agency with 20,000 candidate records experiences roughly 6,000 instances of data decay per year. That is 6,000 candidates whose profiles are degrading in accuracy, becoming harder to match and harder to reach. Over three years without enrichment, more than half of your database becomes functionally unreliable.

Manual enrichment, where a recruiter looks up each candidate individually and updates their record, takes an average of four to six minutes per profile. At that rate, enriching 10,000 records would take one recruiter roughly 50 full working days. No agency can justify that time investment. The result is that databases grow stale, and agencies spend increasingly more money on external sourcing to find candidates they already have.

How It Works

Bulk enrichment in RecruitIQ is designed to be as simple as possible for the user while handling significant complexity behind the scenes.

Step 1: Select your candidates. Use any combination of filters in your candidate database to create a selection. You might choose all candidates in a specific market or specialty, all candidates who have not been contacted in more than six months, all candidates from a particular source, or simply your entire database. Selections can include up to 10,000 profiles per batch.

Step 2: Choose enrichment fields. Select which data points you want to enrich. Options include current employer and title, contact information such as email and phone, skills and certifications, education, location, and social profile links. You can enrich all fields or select specific ones based on your needs and budget. Each field type has a per-profile cost, clearly displayed before you confirm.

Step 3: Click enrich. Confirm your selection and enrichment scope, and the system begins processing. Enrichment runs in the background. You do not need to keep the page open or wait for completion. RecruitIQ notifies you when the batch is done, which typically takes 15 to 45 minutes depending on batch size.

Step 4: Review the results. When enrichment completes, you get a summary report showing how many profiles were enriched, what data points were updated, and a list of any profiles that could not be enriched because no matching data was found. Updated profiles are immediately reflected in your database, in the Talent Inbox matching, and in all search results.

“We ran bulk enrichment on our entire database of 8,200 candidates. In 30 minutes, we updated current employers for 6,100 of them, added 4,300 new phone numbers, and discovered 2,800 new skills. Our Talent Inbox match quality improved noticeably the same day.” — Beta tester, 45-person staffing agency

Data Sources

The quality of enrichment depends entirely on the quality and breadth of the underlying data sources. RecruitIQ's enrichment engine aggregates data from multiple verified sources to maximize coverage and accuracy.

  • Professional networks: Public professional profile data provides current employer, title, skills, education, and career history. This is the primary source for employment and skills data.
  • Public records and directories: Business registrations, professional licensing databases, and industry directories provide verification of credentials, certifications, and current employment.
  • Contact data providers: Aggregated contact databases provide current email addresses and phone numbers, cross-referenced across multiple sources for accuracy.
  • Candidate self-reported data: When candidates interact with your agency through applications, portal updates, or outreach responses, that data is incorporated and takes precedence over third-party sources.

The enrichment engine uses a confidence scoring system for each data point. When multiple sources agree on a value, such as three sources all showing the same current employer, that data point receives a high confidence score. When sources conflict, the system uses recency and source reliability to determine the most likely accurate value and flags the conflict for optional manual review.

All data sourcing and enrichment complies with applicable data privacy regulations. RecruitIQ only enriches profiles with publicly available professional data and data from licensed providers. Candidates can request their data be excluded from enrichment at any time through standard privacy request channels.

Accuracy and Quality

Enrichment is only valuable if the data is accurate. Bad data is worse than no data because it creates false confidence. Here is how RecruitIQ ensures enrichment quality.

Multi-source verification. No data point is updated based on a single source. The system requires corroboration from at least two independent sources before updating a profile field. This dramatically reduces false positives, where incorrect data overwrites correct data.

Conflict resolution. When sources disagree, the system does not simply pick one. It evaluates source reliability, data recency, and consistency with other known profile data to determine the most probable accurate value. Conflicting data points are flagged with a confidence indicator so recruiters can verify when they next contact the candidate.

Accuracy metrics from our beta. During the beta period, we measured enrichment accuracy by having recruiters verify updated data during their next candidate interaction. The results across 12,000 verified data points were as follows:

  • Current employer and title: 91% accuracy. The most common errors involved candidates who had very recently changed jobs in the past two to four weeks and whose profiles had not yet been updated across sources.
  • Email addresses: 88% accuracy. Primary email addresses were more accurate than secondary ones. Deliverability verification, which checks whether the email address is active, further improves effective accuracy.
  • Phone numbers: 82% accuracy. Mobile numbers were more accurate than landlines. Phone validation, which checks whether a number is currently active, is included in the enrichment process.
  • Skills and certifications: 94% accuracy. This was the highest-accuracy category because skills data tends to be additive. People gain skills over time but rarely lose them. Certifications were verified against issuing body databases where available.

These accuracy rates improve over time as the enrichment engine learns from recruiter-verified corrections. When a recruiter updates a profile after verifying data with a candidate, that correction feeds back into the source reliability model, improving future enrichment quality across all users.

Getting Started

Bulk enrichment is available today for all RecruitIQ accounts on Professional and Enterprise plans. Here is how to make the most of it from day one.

Start with your most active segment. Rather than enriching your entire database at once, begin with the candidates most likely to matter for current reqs. Filter to candidates in your top specialties, in your active geographic markets, and with last-contact dates within the past 12 months. This segment will give you the fastest return on your enrichment investment because these are the candidates most likely to appear in Talent Inbox matches for open reqs.

Schedule quarterly enrichment runs. Given that 30% of professional data decays annually, quarterly enrichment keeps your database above 90% accuracy at all times. Set a calendar reminder to run a full-database enrichment at the start of each quarter. The cost is modest relative to the value of keeping your database current.

Combine enrichment with Talent Inbox. After running a bulk enrichment, open the Talent Inbox for your top-priority reqs. You will likely see new matches that were not visible before because updated skills, titles, and employment data now align with your req requirements. This is where enrichment translates directly into faster placements.

Monitor your enrichment metrics. After each batch, review the enrichment report. Pay attention to the percentage of profiles that were successfully enriched versus those with no matching data. A low match rate for certain candidate segments may indicate that those profiles have insufficient identifying information, such as candidates with only a first name and phone number, and may benefit from manual cleanup before re-enrichment.

  • Enrichment credits are included in your plan at the following levels: Professional plans include 5,000 enrichments per month. Enterprise plans include 25,000 per month. Additional credits can be purchased in blocks of 1,000.
  • Processing time depends on batch size. Batches under 1,000 profiles typically complete in under 10 minutes. Batches of 5,000 to 10,000 profiles take 30 to 45 minutes. You can run multiple batches concurrently.
  • Results are permanent. Enriched data remains in your candidate profiles until it is overwritten by a future enrichment with newer data or manually edited by a recruiter. You are not renting data. You are improving your records.

Conclusion

Your candidate database is your agency's most valuable asset. It represents years of sourcing effort, screening calls, and relationship building. Bulk enrichment ensures that asset does not depreciate over time. It keeps your data current, your matching accurate, and your outreach deliverable.

The staffing agencies that win are the ones that get more value from their existing data rather than constantly paying to acquire new data. Bulk enrichment makes that possible at a scale that was previously impractical. Ten thousand profiles enriched in one click. No manual research. No copy-pasting from LinkedIn. No data entry. Just accurate, current, matchable candidate records.

Log into RecruitIQ today, select your candidates, and see what enriched data reveals. We think you will be surprised by how many great matches have been hiding in your own database all along.
