Reminders open from every icon and always reach you

The reminder dot and bell on a job’s candidates now open that candidate’s Reminders tab, and a due reminder always appears in your notification bell, even when its email cannot be sent.

Every reminder icon opens Reminders

On a job’s candidates, the small red dot that says a reminder is scheduled used to do nothing when you pressed it. It now opens that candidate’s Reminders tab, the same place the bell on the card, the More actions menu and the clock in the table view already led to. The same dot works on the phone list too.

If you were already looking at a candidate’s resume, pressing the bell or the dot again now brings you back to Reminders instead of leaving the screen as it was. This also applies to the Notes buttons.

In the table view, the clock turns amber when a candidate has a reminder, matching the bell on the board, and pointing at it shows the reminder’s title.

Add and manage a reminder

The Reminders tab has a form at the top: give the reminder a title, choose the date and time of the call, interview or follow-up, choose how long before it you want to be reminded, from the moment itself up to an hour ahead, and add an optional note. Choose Add reminder and it appears in the list below.

Each reminder in the list shows its date, how early you will be reminded and whether its email was sent. Choose Mark done once you have handled it, or Cancel if it is no longer needed.

A due reminder always reaches you

When a reminder comes due, it now always appears in the notification bell at the top of the page, whether or not an email goes out. Before, the bell entry was only created after an email was sent, so a reminder whose email could not be sent was silently lost.

If your reminder email is turned off in your notification settings, or it cannot be delivered, you still get the bell notification. Open it to see the reminder and jump to the job or the candidate.

Teammates now get reminder emails by default

Reminder emails are on by default for everyone. A teammate who had never opened their notification settings was wrongly treated as having them off, so their reminder emails were skipped. That is fixed: they receive reminder emails unless they turn them off themselves.

The time in the email now uses the time zone you were in when you set the reminder, with its abbreviation, such as 11:10 AM EDT, instead of a fixed server time.

Boundaries to know about

Reminders belong to the person who created them. You see only your own on the board, and only the ones set on that job. Due reminders are checked about once a minute, so allow a short delay after the time you chose.

Reminders that came due before this change and were skipped are not sent now. Set a new reminder if you still need one.
