Choose a job during bulk resume upload
Send a batch of uploaded resumes to one job and see saved uploads separately from background AI profiles.
Pick the destination before selecting files
Open Add Candidate from Candidates or Dashboard and choose Bulk uploads. Use Add to a job to search your active jobs before selecting resumes. The ZIP upload option offers the same choice. Leave Upload without a job selected to add candidates without assigning a job.
Each selected file keeps the job chosen when it was queued. Changing the picker affects only files selected afterward. Keep RecruitIQ open until uploads finish; navigating within the app keeps the shared intake list available.
Add new applicants without moving existing ones
After a candidate and resume are saved, RecruitIQ adds the candidate to the job’s current Application stage. Someone already on that job keeps their current stage. Retrying a job assignment does not add a duplicate membership.
Your workspace’s normal job notifications and automations apply to new additions, including any configured email sequence that starts when a candidate joins a job. Choosing a job does not send a candidate rejection message.
The current account, organization, job availability and Application stage are checked when each assignment runs. If the job is closed, removed or unavailable, or Application is missing, the saved candidate stays available and the file shows that job assignment needs attention. A resume saved for identity review is not added to a job. Resolve the review, then add the candidate to the job from Candidates.
See uploads finish while AI continues
Each file keeps its filename and reports candidate/resume saving, search readiness, job assignment and AI profile progress separately. Upload complete means the candidate save and any selected job assignment are confirmed; it does not mean the AI profile is ready.
Profiles for different candidates can now process in parallel within a bounded background queue. Work for the same candidate stays in sequence. AI processing can still take several minutes, depending on the queue and model response time; there is no fixed completion-time guarantee. You can leave after uploads finish and open a saved candidate while its profile is still being prepared.
If a job assignment fails, Retry uses the already saved candidate and resume. If a save response is interrupted and Retry is available, use Retry on the same file in the intake list. RecruitIQ checks the original save so the retry can reuse the saved candidate and file. Keep that intake list open until the outcome is confirmed; starting a fresh upload is a separate action.
Retry after an unconfirmed save is available only for uploads started with this support. Older uploads or an unavailable Retry still require you to check Candidates before uploading again. If Retry cannot finish, keep the original file in the intake list and check Candidates before starting another upload. Finished uploads can be cleared without dismissing files still being processed. Existing duplicate and resume preservation rules continue to apply, including keeping an existing resume when its candidate already has a completed AI profile.
If the resume parser is temporarily unavailable during a bulk or ZIP upload, the file stays in the intake list with a clear error. Click Retry on that same file after service returns. RecruitIQ checks and reuses that task’s original upload instead of saving another copy. Parsing must finish and the candidate must be saved before the row can say Upload complete.
Keep RecruitIQ open while a failed upload needs Retry. The intake list is kept in the current browser session; refreshing or closing the app does not restore that list. A fresh file selection starts a separate upload. Unreadable or rejected documents may need a clearer file or a single resume upload for manual review. RecruitIQ does not repeatedly retry parsing automatically.
Newly saved resumes retain their background processing request. If processing is interrupted, RecruitIQ can continue from the saved file rather than requiring another upload. Resume text search is prepared before automatic AI enrichment; queued work is shown separately from confirmed search readiness.
When automatic AI generation is off, readable resume text can still finish preparing for text search without generating an AI profile. Text search ready does not mean AI Search embeddings or an AI profile are ready. If background processing needs attention, the saved candidate and resume remain available. Check the candidate before starting a fresh upload; changed files, unavailable access, and unconfirmed processing outcomes may require review.
