Create jobs with verified locations
RecruitIQ now verifies newly created job locations before saving them, so distance-based candidate search starts from a real geographic point.
Choose the place you mean
Use the plus button beside Locations while creating or editing a job. Start typing a city, state, ZIP code, or address, then choose the matching Google Maps result. Include a state or country when a place name could refer to more than one location.
Typed text is a search query, not a saved location. RecruitIQ creates the reusable location only after you choose a verified result, and the new location is immediately selected for the job.
Keep the job form compact
The location selector and its plus button remain together in the same row. The Create Location dialog also links to Edit Existing Locations, where the team can review the organization’s saved choices without crowding the job form.
Older location records that do not have verified geographic data are labeled as needing verification and cannot silently become the basis of a distance filter.
Use distance only when it is meaningful
Verified localities, ZIP codes, and addresses store the coordinates AI Search needs for proximity ranking and radius filters. Broad regions such as a state or county can still be saved as job context, but RecruitIQ does not pretend that a single radius accurately represents the entire region.
Location remains one part of a job. Work mode, job description, notes, recruiter review, and the candidate’s résumé continue to carry their own meaning instead of being inferred from the location name.
