Keep using Candidates while resumes are being prepared
RecruitIQ can show a verified candidate list during background updates and use readable text from a small set of recently saved resumes without waiting for the whole search index.
Continue from the same candidate list
Open Candidates, add a resume, and continue searching or paging while background preparation runs. When RecruitIQ can verify the current records, it combines recent changes with the existing list instead of waiting for every background update to finish.
Your filters, sorting and account permissions still apply. Candidate rows can appear before the total count finishes; a pending count does not mean that the visible rows are missing.
In the updated search flow, the total belongs to the same filtered list you are viewing. If records change while RecruitIQ is counting, an outdated total is not shown. A total that cannot be verified stays unavailable instead of becoming zero; you can keep using the visible rows and change your filters. Organizations still using the earlier search flow keep their existing background counts during rollout.
A brief background catch-up can retry automatically for a short time. If the list changes before the next page is ready, your loaded rows stay visible and Refresh results starts the list again with the latest verified results. Other unavailable searches still offer a manual retry.
Find words in recently saved resumes
Keyword search uses the resume text that has already been prepared for searching. While a replacement is being prepared, its previously indexed text may still match; newly added words can become searchable after preparation finishes. Saving a different file does not immediately replace its searchable text.
When RecruitIQ reads the current saved version of a small set of readable resumes during recent updates, a replaced or deleted resume does not contribute its older text to those verified recent-update results. This check does not mean that every older resume has been reread or that every new upload is already searchable.
Use the usual keyword field; there is no new setting or separate upload flow. Saving a resume, making its text searchable and finishing an AI profile remain separate steps. Ordinary keyword search does not start a paid AI profile generation.
Keep searching during unrelated job updates
An update that affects only a job can leave ordinary candidate searches available when RecruitIQ verifies that the candidate records and searchable resume preparation are unchanged. Continue using the usual name, email or keyword fields.
Searches filtered by a job, pipeline stage or assigned recruiter keep their existing preparation requirements. Candidate changes and uncertain updates still require verification before results are shown; an unfinished job update is not cleared by searching.
Preparation can still need time or attention
This does not guarantee immediate results for every upload or a fixed opening time. A large group of changes, older resumes whose text has not been prepared, unreadable files or unavailable services can still require background preparation or a fresh attempt. Current account permissions and candidate visibility still apply; a pending file does not grant access to another organization’s candidates.
Job relationship and distance filters keep their existing preparation requirements. Historical failed uploads and unfinished profiles are not automatically replayed or repaired by this change. Check the saved candidate before uploading the same resume again.
