Outlook resumes now flow into Talent Inbox automatically
Connected Outlook inboxes now detect new resume attachments automatically using Outlook-native mailbox rules.
Automatic intake now speaks Outlook
Talent Inbox now uses Outlook-native attachment discovery instead of trying to interpret Gmail search operators inside a Microsoft mailbox.
When Outlook is connected and Talent Inbox intake is enabled, RecruitIQ checks new Inbox messages with attachments and sends supported files through the same resume-reading pipeline used by a manual mailbox scan.
The attachment is evaluated, not just the subject line
A resume does not need the word “resume” in the email subject. RecruitIQ opens supported attachments, extracts their text, and validates that the document is actually a resume before creating or updating a candidate.
Unrelated attachments, inline images, unsupported file types, and RecruitIQ-generated candidate alerts are ignored rather than becoming candidate records.
- Supported resume formats include PDF, DOC, and DOCX.
- Explicit vendor sender and subject rules continue to narrow intake when configured.
- Previously processed Outlook messages are not imported again.
Automatic intake and historical scans have different jobs
Automatic Outlook intake is incremental and watches new messages in the connected Inbox. It keeps a mailbox cursor so each polling cycle continues from the newest message already evaluated.
Use the Talent Inbox mailbox scan when you need to search a historical window or include older messages outside the current automatic-intake cursor.
