Keep returning candidates’ resumes current

Replace an outdated resume directly from an existing candidate profile without creating another candidate record.

Update the candidate you already know

Open the candidate profile, choose the Resume tab, and select Replace beside Preview. RecruitIQ accepts PDF, DOC, and DOCX files up to 10 MB and makes the selected file the candidate’s active resume.

This keeps the existing candidate record, job relationships, notes, and history together instead of requiring a duplicate profile when someone returns to the job market with newer experience.

The latest resume refreshes the profile

After the upload succeeds, the candidate profile reloads the current resume details and sends the new document through RecruitIQ’s normal search indexing and AI-profile refresh process.

While that work runs, the Resume tab explains that RecruitIQ is saving the active file, updating resume search, and refreshing the AI profile. RecruitIQ keeps the processing state visible until the AI profile confirms it was generated from that exact uploaded file, which can take a minute or two.

Open earlier resume versions when they exist

When a candidate has more than one stored resume, a History action appears beside Preview. It opens the current resume and earlier uploads in one dialog, with a date plus Preview and Download actions for each version.

Historical files open through RecruitIQ’s authenticated preview instead of relying on the storage provider’s browser permissions, and each version keeps its own URL so a newer upload cannot display an older cached PDF.

Opening an earlier version does not make it active. RecruitIQ accepts supported PDF, DOC, and DOCX files based on format and size; recruiters should still confirm that the selected document is actually the candidate’s resume before replacing the active file.
