Check candidate names against the original resume
RecruitIQ now checks automatically extracted candidate names against the resume itself and holds unclear names for review before creating a candidate.
Read the name from the source
A resume can place a section heading, employer or reference above the candidate’s own name. RecruitIQ now uses an AI check of the original document to confirm the name before an automatic candidate save. A clearly supported name can replace an earlier extraction that mistook other text for the person’s name.
The check reads the first three pages of a PDF, supported image resumes or the readable contents of a Word file. It does not build a name from an email username or filename. A missing email address does not make a clearly visible name uncertain.
Use your usual intake flow
Upload a resume from Dashboard or Candidates, or receive one through your connected Talent Inbox or resume-upload WhatsApp. Name verification runs as part of reading the file; there is no new setting to turn on.
When adding a candidate manually, review the filled-in details before saving. A name you enter or edit yourself stays your choice; automatic extraction does not replace it.
Review an unclear name before creating a candidate
For automated Talent Inbox and WhatsApp arrivals, an unclear name keeps the saved resume in Resume and duplicate review. An authorized recruiter can preview the original file, enter the confirmed name to create a candidate, or attach it to a known candidate while keeping that candidate’s existing name.
If a bulk upload cannot confirm the name, that file does not create a new candidate. Use a single resume upload to review the source and enter the name. A filename or email address is not a substitute for that review.
What still needs your attention
AI verification can be uncertain or unavailable, especially when the name is missing, hard to read or beyond the pages checked. Review the source before confirming a name; the check does not guarantee every extracted detail is correct.
This applies to new intake attempts. It does not automatically correct older candidate names or replay past uploads. Existing duplicate checks and resume-preservation rules still apply, and saving a resume remains separate from completing its AI profile.
