Return to your mailbox scan results
Mailbox scans keep their results when you refresh or leave the page.
Scan, leave, and come back
Start a scan from Talent Inbox, then return to Backfill to see its progress or saved results. Refreshing the page does not cancel an accepted scan. Completed results include added candidates, duplicates, scan errors and any candidate profiles that still need attention.
With the background scan worker enabled, interrupted scans can recover using the original mailbox selection and time window. Previously handled messages remain protected against repeat imports. Disconnecting or reconnecting a mailbox stops recovery for that connection. Repeated interruptions may require a reviewed retry.
The scan status distinguishes Scanning emails from Waiting for a scan worker. A scan waiting for recovery stays queued even if it has been waiting a long time. If status cannot be confirmed, Talent Inbox says so and checks again before allowing another scan. A confirmed interruption preserves saved candidates and lets you review the results before choosing New Scan.
Returning to Talent Inbox shows the current scan or your latest saved result. An older abandoned scan does not take over a newer completed result. Older scans without recoverable worker state may need support review; opening Backfill never restarts those scans or rescans your mailbox automatically.
Adding a candidate and finishing its AI profile are separate steps. A profile warning means the candidate was saved but its enrichment needs attention; it does not mean the whole mailbox scan failed. Private resume files remain private during processing.
Talent Inbox now hands AI profile generation to the same background queue used by manual resume uploads. Accepted profile jobs can retry temporary failures and recover interrupted work without keeping the inbox page open. Duplicate jobs for the same candidate and resume are suppressed. The queue and its worker must be available; a failed queue submission or exhausted retry limit still needs attention rather than retrying forever.
Recent skipped attachments now use simple categories: Not a resume, Unsupported file, Already handled, Needs review, or Couldn’t process. Unclassified outcomes appear as Skipped. The list keeps the mailbox and date for context without showing document descriptions, filenames, email subjects, or sender details. Opening this list does not rescan your mailbox.
