Search and scan candidates with Candidates V2

Find candidates through indexed resume search and familiar filters, then scan location and current employment, with tags available in Quick view.

Keep the search power of Candidates in a faster scanning view

Candidates load before the recruiter and job dropdown options. Those options load quietly afterward and are reused briefly while you browse and search. If you open a dropdown early, it shows its loading state without blocking the candidate list; failed option loads can be retried.

Candidates V2 keeps organization-scoped search across names, contact details, locations, titles, employers, tags, candidate-profile text, and indexed resume content. Search begins automatically after a brief pause in typing. On Apple devices, press Command K to move directly into the field; the shortcut hint stays out of the way while the field is focused.

A compact filter rail keeps active job, pipeline, assigned recruiter, location, and tags close at hand, alongside Source. Each opens a searchable panel with full option names instead of fixed-width, clipped dropdown text or decorative counts. The rail wraps at narrower widths without horizontal scrolling. Source uses Manual, Talent Inbox, Public Board, External Recruiter, and WhatsApp. Existing saved views and links that contain other supported candidate parameters continue to apply, can still be saved as a reusable view, and Clear all removes them without silently changing the saved query contract.

Saved views now sit directly beside the Candidates heading. Save view appears when the current setup does not match an existing saved view, and the star marks a selected saved view as the organization-scoped default for future visits. To return to the unfiltered starting view, select Default View and click its outline star. The star disappears once Default View is the starting view again; your saved views are kept.

Open the view dropdown and choose the pencil beside a saved view to rename it or delete it with confirmation. Renaming keeps its filters and default star. Deleting removes only the saved view, not candidates; deleting your starred view restores the built-in Default View for future visits.

The Location filter remembers your five most recently applied ZIP codes in this browser, newest first. Choose a recent ZIP to fill the field, adjust the distance if needed, then press Apply. History starts with new searches; older searches are not backfilled, and history does not sync across browsers.

Every job option includes a details control. Hover or keyboard-focus it to load that job’s company, created date, and last-updated date only when needed. Repeated review in the same page session reuses the result instead of requesting every job up front.

Recognize the right candidate with less table noise

The default list uses two brief lines instead of table columns. The first keeps the candidate name easy to distinguish, with a compact, always-visible Quick view centered at the edge of the row. The second shows available location and supported current employment. Open Quick view to see all candidate tags in a labeled Tags section with compact chips. Tag search and filtering remain available. The document action remains a compact icon beside the selection checkbox.

Locations include the ZIP code when available and show a country only outside the United States. Current employment is shown as Position @ Company when both values are available, or as the available value on its own. Labels longer than 40 visible characters show 39 characters and an ellipsis; hover or keyboard-focus a shortened label to read the complete value. Short labels stay unchanged without a tooltip. Missing information stays visually blank, and RecruitIQ does not infer that a candidate is unemployed.

The last-activity date and local time follow the current employment, or the location when employment is missing, separated by a dot—for example, Mar 10, 5:35 PM. Dates from earlier years include the year; unavailable dates stay blank. This uses the activity already loaded with the list, without a separate request for each candidate.

After a text search finishes, a plain number beside Clear shows the total matching candidates, not just the rows currently loaded. The number stays hidden while a changed search is loading so an older result count is not mistaken for the new result.

The list retrieves 50 candidates at a time and continues loading as the recruiter scrolls, keeping the page responsive without traditional page controls. Searches and filters reuse the shared candidate data cache, keep the current rows visible during background refreshes, and return cached queries immediately when revisited.

Starting a search, changing filters or sorting, selecting a saved view, and using Clear or Clear all return the candidate list to the top. Loading more candidates does not move your position, and returning from a candidate profile restores your place in the list.

The Scroll to top button returns you to the beginning in 0.4 seconds, with an instant return if you prefer reduced motion. Scrolling or interacting again interrupts the animation.

In a candidate profile, open Additional info and choose Edit to set Earliest start using the shared calendar picker. Select a day or choose Clear date, then Save. Cancel discards your draft; this remains a date-only field with no time selection.

Preview before opening the full profile

Search terms now carry into the resume preview and full profile, where the shared viewer highlights matching text in yellow. This makes words such as operator easier to scan. Name-only and email-only filters do not add resume highlights; image-only documents still depend on available searchable text.

The resume drawer covers the bottom toolbar. Drag the slim handle on its left edge to resize it, or focus the handle and use the arrow keys. RecruitIQ remembers the width in your account for later sessions, with a browser cache for immediate reopening. A failed account save is reported; small screens use the available width. Resizing changes the drawer, not the document zoom.

The compact preview header keeps the candidate name on the left, candidate navigation centered in the drawer, and Add to job and Close on the right. These stay on one line at desktop drawer widths, with long names shortened visually. Use the Resume dropdown on the second row to switch to Notes; PDF zoom controls stay on the far right, with Set default before the minus, percentage, and plus controls when the zoom differs from your saved default. Reminders and Pipelines appear in that same menu on screens that support them. The black left-edge handle replaces the size toggle, and controls wrap on narrow screens.

In Candidates V2, choose Notes to read the candidate’s existing notes or add a new one. Saved notes stay linked to that candidate and are available from their profile. Save or cancel an unfinished note before switching candidates. Add to job offers a searchable Workflow status picker: search stays above a list showing up to five rows, and scrolling reveals every available status for the chosen job. Searching does not change the selected status or assign the candidate.

Use Previous candidate and Next candidate to move through your filtered results without closing the drawer. The review order stays steady while you work, and Next loads more results when needed. Candidates without a resume still offer Notes and Add to job. Scroll inside the PDF to move through its pages; the header arrows change candidates.

Fast resumes appear as soon as their first visible page is ready, with a brief fade. The loading spinner stays hidden for the first three seconds and appears only if the document is still loading. Errors appear promptly, and reduced-motion settings remove the fade. Closing a preview with an unfinished note lets you keep editing or discard the draft.

Choose Add to job inside the drawer, check the candidate’s name, then select a job and workflow status. This action applies to the candidate you are reviewing, regardless of other candidates selected in the list. Close the result dialog to continue reviewing.

The job picker shows the company and the date the job was created, helping distinguish jobs with similar titles. Search by company or title. Jobs with creation dates appear newest first; a missing company or date is shown clearly instead of guessed. Created refers to the job record, not when the candidate joined it.

Open Quick view to see contact, recruiter, active-job, stage, tag, and recent-activity context without leaving the list. Open the shared resume preview only when needed; resume files are not downloaded during the initial list request.

If a resume cannot be displayed, the preview provides Try again, Download, and Open full profile actions instead of spinning indefinitely. Opening a candidate profile preserves the V2 query, filters, sort, and approximate list position for the return trip.

Candidate details now begins with a compact Candidates › Candidate details breadcrumb at the top of its white content section. Choose Candidates to return to the filtered list you came from; direct visits return to the regular Candidates page. The candidate name, profile tabs, and Resume action remain below it.

Use V2 beside the existing Candidates page

Choose Add candidate to open the familiar resume, manual, bulk, or ZIP intake drawer directly on Candidates V2. Closing it keeps your search, filters, saved view, and list position. Successfully saved candidates refresh the current results; an active filter may exclude a new candidate. Existing validation and duplicate-review steps still apply, and opening a full candidate profile remains an explicit action.

Candidates V2 is available at /candidates-v2 to signed-in Owners and Recruiters who belong to a RecruitIQ organization. It uses the same organization boundary as the existing Candidates experience; Sales and external-recruiter roles do not receive access. The existing Candidates page remains available while teams use both experiences side by side.

Selecting a candidate smoothly replaces the filter rail with the selection count, Add to job, and Download resumes actions. Clearing the selection returns the filters in the same position. Duplicate resolution and full candidate editing continue in their existing dedicated experiences.
