See who updated a candidate’s stage
Candidate stage emails identify the team member who made the update.
Read the person alongside the stage change
When you receive a candidate stage update email, look for Updated by alongside the candidate, role, and stage details. It shows the signed-in team member who made the change, so you know who to follow up with.
The update uses the team member’s saved name, or their account email when a name is unavailable. If neither is available, it says A team member. It does not substitute the candidate, email recipient, or assigned recruiter as the person who made the change.
The detail appears automatically in new stage update emails, including emails selected through your organization’s candidate movement notification settings. Existing recipient rules still apply, and you do not receive a stage update email for your own change. Earlier emails are not resent or rewritten.
