Choose how to add your first company

A new Companies starting screen makes the available client-onboarding paths clear before the first company is added.

Start with the relationship you already have

When an organization has no companies yet, the Companies page now presents the next steps as three clear choices instead of one generic empty-state button.

Choose Add manually to open the full company drawer and create the client record yourself. Choose Send a contract to open the existing agreement flow and begin with the company name, signer, and contract document.

A clear boundary for client invitations

Invite the company is visible so teams can understand the planned client-portal path, where clients will be able to create job requests themselves. It is labeled Coming soon and cannot be selected from this starting screen yet.

Viewing the starting screen does not create a company, send a contract, invite a client, start a free trial, or change billing. A record is created only after a recruiter completes one of the available workflows.

Add client fee terms only when they are needed

The company drawer now keeps fee terms in a dedicated section below Notes. Choose Add fee structure to enter a percentage of salary, flat fee, or custom terms in a focused dialog. Flat fees are formatted with separators so larger amounts remain easy to read.

After saving the fee structure, the drawer shows the selected terms in bold with an Edit option. Canceling the dialog does not change the company draft, and the company itself is still created or updated only when the main form is submitted.

Archive a company without deleting its jobs

Archiving removes the company from active company lists and clears that company assignment from every connected job in the same organization. Those jobs return to the Add Company state so another client can be assigned later.

The jobs, candidates, and historical recruiting activity are not deleted. RecruitIQ removes only the archived company connection and keeps the underlying work available.
